Stevia is a popular choice among natural sweeteners. But some users are unaware of the other kinds available aside from refined, white Stevia.

There are three kinds of people that buy Stevia:
• Beginners in keto and plant-based diet
• Those diagnosed with high glucose levels
• People that are simply conscious about their health

People opt for Stevia because they want something natural. But did you know that most of the Stevia products that are labeled as “100% natural” aren’t guilt-free?

When you search “natural food” on Google, here’s what it says:

White Stevia is popular in markets because it looks like sugar, tastes like sugar without its potential adverse effects. However, to achieve the sugar-like appearance and taste, it must undergo different chemical processes — thus defying its promise of being natural.

Having said that, here are some things you must remember before buying Stevia:

  • Check the ingredients list. Scan if there are other ingredients aside from Stevia. If you want something that’s 100% natural, avoid products with fillers and additives.
    • Go for the green ones instead of the white ones. White ones are highly processed, and almost not a single trace of Stevia is left.
    • Choose the product that you feel the safest.
